god of the arena
Oenomaus had fallen. Gannicus sat where he was, the body of his fallen brother behind him under cloth. He was not sure what this would mean for him, but Oenomaus had given him forgiveness. He could live without such guilt now. Melitta and Oenomaus would be together in the afterlife--as it should be. He would delay joining them for some time if he could. His rudus was gone, he was no longer a freedman. Yet he had come to find purpose in fighting, and here their was a abundance of it.
His brother had always tried to get him to give value to his own life, but Gannicus never could. With Oenomaus gone from this world, there seemed little more for it. Hearing steps he looked up, seeing the German there. A man he had come to call friend. "You had a brother?" he asked, not needing to know what might have happened to him. In this world only the winners lived. "I had known Oenomaus since I was a boy. We trained, lived, and fought together. He will be missed in ways I had not understood."

Gannicus looked back at the angry German. "The man stood a champion, and deserved to go out and be remembered as such." He was not going to argue subject with a fucking German. Not when he already held nerve that Oenomaus would awaken and once again try to kill him. If Melitta had been his, he would try to kill him too. "When he awakes there will not be words of questioned honor spoken." At least not of Oenomaus' honor. His brother had always lived with honor, fought with honor, and Gannicus had hope to let him die with it too.
"When he awakens there will be other words spoken." He turned to look at Oenomaus while standing. Gannicus would not speak so honestly had this one not already been on the sands and heard everything. "He was my brother, and I took his wife to bed. I will not leave here until I have make right the wrong." Even if he could not be sorry for holding Melitta in his arms. He had found love, and lost it. "Then you can fight in your fucking war."

Agron voiced that he would not be able to fight when it mattered. "You held Oenomaus in high. He too was struck down, but gave his knowledge in teaching your fucking self to fight." He pointed out, still trying to help his friend, though he knew it would not be today nor tomorrow when Agron felt a smile on his lips next. "Take moment, and let self held then see what comes." He advised. Though they were both warriors, and they both knew that time would not do much. Agron would be forced to spend his days training, not fighting. A bitter end to a great gladiator.
"Then you use it wrong," He jested when his friend she his cock was not a weapon. Agron gave apologies for his mood and Gannicus held up his hand. "You live. Your spirits can do what they like." No one expected him to come from his unchanged. Lesser men would not have made it. It proved that his brother was strong, and that the Romans knew how to wound a man. "I have seen man put to cross. One a girl who was put their by Asher for showing me kindness. To have you returned from it is enough. Tomorrow we will find a way for you to fuck the Romans." But not in combat. He would have to do it from afar. Unless miracle was given and his hands still could grip sword.

Oenomaus Because this dynamic was one of my favorite ones, and I would really like to play both the before and after of their fall out! Marcia This was the slave/whore from S2 that he began to get close too, but she was killed. I am adding her to the list because I really enjoyed watching them, and I think there is potential there! Especially in the AU board! Spartacus I really liked them in the last two seasons, and how they went from Gannicus not agreeing with the 'cause' (or what he believed the cause), and moving to become one his generals Julius Ceaser I think their rival was awesome, and I would love to play it out, and drive into some AUs where they duke it out more!

"Fuck the gods, and let them keep us here." He agreed, as they continued to Agron's dwelling. Gannicus knew that Agron would be concerned about others finding him. There would always be a danger of waking to find Romans at your door--even this far from Rome. "It was not rumor, but questioning. I told them I was looking for your sister, so I could steal her away. Drunken fucks were all to willing to help me get a woman." He jested, hoping that put Agron to ease. He had learned in his time as a freedman that drunken shits were the key to information in cities. Romans would not try that manner of looking.
Agron voiced word on where his lover was, and added that he was not alone. Gannicus lost his smile in surprise for a moment, pausing in his walk. "She is here, then?" He asked, not wanting to believe that he was favored in finding both of who he sought. Reaching out he touched his brother's chest "My gratitude has grown greater, knowing you did not leave her to fair for herself." He found his smile returning. "I feared for one so innocent, but you honor us both with keeping her safe." He found it easier then before to have high spirits, and longed for her return from market. Agron and himself might have started on disagreement, but Gannicus had grown to love him as a brother, and his only proved that Agron held in in the same esteem. "How did you come to settle here?" He asked as they begin walking again.

Agron gave his face a light tap, and Gannicus found himself grinning enjoying the embrace of friend and letting himself forget the death of everyone for a while. His hands were whole but he had little strength in them. He would not draw attention to them but they were not far from his mind. "They would not have me any more then they would you." He returned, looking around, and noting they were alone. "Graduate. I have been searching for you fucks for a long time, and rest was hard to find in the lands owned by Rome." Gannicus would have once touched Agron as much as he was being touched, but one reason he traveled light was the pain in his arms.
It was wise to come this far from Rome, and to break from the group. Rome did not know they were lovers and would not follow the same clues as Gannicus had. They seemed to have found saftey, and Gannicus was envious of the peace. He would stay for a few days before moving on to find his woman. "Where is your man? I was told a German and a Syrian lived here. It was how I knew to look." Nasir and himself had not grown as close as brothers, but he was honored to call the man friend. He liked the man's honor, and honestly. He liked that his brother had found someone.

Gannicus found a smile on lips at the sound of his angry friend. Nothing changed. Seeing his friend grip the dagger made his sprints lighten. "I knew you'd grip something besides cock one day." He jested, reaching up for his hood to pull it back, "My intentions is to fucking find you." With that Gannicus moved forward to embrace the man who he had come to call brother. The embrace had this journey feel more real, but he knew it was not over. He had yet to find his woman, and would not stop until then. Yet he would not ask about her until he had been welcomed by his friend.
"The goats hid your stink, and made you fucking hard to find." He jested as he pulled back. He knew that Nasir had made it too, since it was their pair of them that had drew him here. He had been ready t give life to help the others escape, and it was good to see it unwasted. He had not expected them to stay together, as that would make them easier to hunt. Yet he had not expected to see so little trace of them. Agron had done well in hiding their tracks. The Roman's had taken his sword but he had proved he was not a dumb fuck.

Clearly mood was low. Gannicus had expected that it would be, but it was disheartening to see it so. "There are other weapons beside sword." He reminded his friend, "You will fight again." Though Gannicus doubted Agron would grip another again, not even cock. Good thing he had a young lover. The Roman's knew hot to best ruin a warrior. To take his hands. He could think of no worse fate, but did not give voice too it. This was no the time to voice concerns but to distract.
Holding up the drink in his hand, he offered some to his friend. "At least they did not take your cock." He said with a grin, "Your man can be grateful for that." He was trying to bring some amusement to his friend, though he knew it was a poor effort. He had always known this might be how they would find their end. No one liked the reminder. Yet he wanted peace for his friend and for this to pass.

god of the arena
Gannicus had been aware of the irony, and had no need of the German to give it to him. Even still, Gannicus turned his back to the man, but not dismissing. "He once stood a champion. He deserves an honorable death." To go out fighting, not to be buried in fire. "One the fires would have denied him." Besides, Gannicus had yet more to say to his friend, and wanted to part ways as brothers, no as foes. He had not lied when he had once told Melitta that had he been the husband he would kill them both. His brother's rage had proven his words.
It had been unexpected, but Gannicus would stay until he had words. Then leave this place before they brought all of Rome down on their heads. One man's pride, and the dream of false freedom. "It is said you were once a gladiator. You should understand." Though not a champion. Gannicus had often heard of Crixus and Spartacus and their glory, but he had not heard of Agron. Not before this day. Though it appeared he was strong enough to fall into place with Spartacus who clearly trusted the man. That meant nothing to Gannicus. Crxius held less trust of him, but still some. Perhaps it was less favor rather then trust. He had yet to figure that dynamic.

god of the arena
A fucking goat farm. Gannicus walked along the edge of the gate, his fingers touching it as he past. It had taken months to track someone down from the surviving ones who made it over the mountain. He had yet to lay eyes on Sybil, but he heard news of a German and Syrian living here, and he sought it out to see if they were his brothers. Passing the sticking goats he made way past while looking for life. He wore a hood over head to protect from his facing being known, but he was ready to drop it when faced with the temper of the German.
Many had died in battle, and Gannicus had been taken prisoner. They had come at him, changing men to keep from dying and to tire him. The fucking Ceaser had finally hit head and left Gannicus sleeping. He had not died on the wooden cross, but instead cut down and hidden until he healed. Now he was looking for his brothers and his woman. Grinning, he thought it humorless if he died here, by his brother's temper should he not make himself known. With this thought, he make sure his hands were far from sword--not that he could weld it as strongly after.

god of the arena
Gannicus had heard that his friend had been one of the many returned to them. He drank in the man's honor at the news, and left the lovers to ave the night. It was the next dawn that had Gannicus seeking out his friend, and walking into the tent without asking permission. He grinned down at Agron, who lie in the comfort of a makeshift bed. Nasir had been seen leaving not long before, assuming to fetch food and report on Agron's health. "The gods would not have you," He said with a smile in his tone, though he knew that his friend would have been mistreated. It was why he did not welcome him in jest, but in gratefulness.
Gannicus moved to sit on the edge of the false bed, so that Agron would not attempt to rise. "It warms heart to see you returned," he admitted though his tone had a smile it in. Gannicus didn't often be serious, and he knew his friend the same. With Crixus dead, and Agron falsely assumed dead, it had brought a blanket of realization to the remaining. They would die here. He knew that now. Only now he had reason to live. He would fight however, and see as many down with him as he could. If he was strong enough, he would too, live.

god of the arena
Gannicus jerked awake as the sun hit his face and held in a groan. He had spent years absent bed, but the stone was harsher then the ground. He looked toward his brother, Oenomaus. He had not awoken since the fires of the arena. Gannicus grinned to himself for a moment--he had fought first and lands in that arena. Never saw defeat within it's walls. He did not know how Oenomaus knew of Gannicus and his wife, but it mattered not. The only importance was in making peace with his friend--before this foolish war got everyone killed.
Hearing foot steps at his back, he turned face the sound. The German. Gannicus had met the man when he was dressed as solider, but not known who he was. Agron they called him. A gladiator from the same house as them all. He sad nothing, forcing the other gladiator to state intentions and set the tone. Once, Gannicus would have make jest, and enjoyed company when companies with drink. Now he was not of mood.

It was only later when Quintus took over the ludus that Gannicus really was able to stand out; and he quickly became the Champion of the city! The golden boy who could do no wrong was favored with women and drink, and while he does not let the future worry him he lacks a respect for his own life. It was here he became friends with Oenomaus, and came to love him like a brother.
