Castus stood outside of the tent for a moment. Nasir had asked him and he had not been able to deny the man a thing. This was more than mere fancy, Castus knew that he was in love but had also come to accepted that the love was neither wanted or returned. Nasir wanted him as friend and he was not the sort of man who would spurn such an offer because it wasn’t exactly what he’d hope for.
He’d been on horseback looking out for Romans, they had moved far from the camp where the funeral games had been held but, still, they took no chances. For now the hills were empty of threats however, and his watch was done in favour of Nasir's to begin.
And now, rather than resting and eating, Castus was to look after Agron. He doubted the other man had been consulted on this idea.
Ducking into the tent, he moved to settle beside where the injured man lay. He no longer looked as close to death as he head when Spartacus had all but carried him but he did not look a well man at all. “You may not believe this but it truly gladden heart to see so many return to our sides, include you. Especially so.” He said solemnly.
