The mission to the arena had been an insane plan. But Barca had not hesitated to be a part of it. Especially if it meant aiding his brother. But they not only returned with Crixus . . . but also, Oenomaus. Albeit, a very injured Oenomaus. On top of that, Gannicus was among them. Barca had not seen him since he had won his freedom, saying that he hoped to join him one day. And it seemed that today, was that day. Though Gannicus was more a fugitivus by being among them, rather than a fighting a free man. He had been in the arena, prepared to execute the others and instead, returned with those that remained alive.
Still. He and Barca were close back in the days. He could not, not seek him out. Seeing him there, separated from the group, Barca approached, not having had a moment alone with the former Champion of Capua. "You mad fuck," Barca greeted, brotherly teasing in his tone. "It surprises enough seeing you in the arena. But now surprise grows seeing you remain among us," he said with a bit of a smirk, implying as to what kept him here for each second he was with them, was another second he placed himself in alliance with the rebels.

god of the arena
Gannicus heard a voice behind him, and slowly turned to see his brother standing there. He still wasn't sure what he thought of everything happening, but he was glad to see his friend. One he had valued in the past, and one with whom there was no guilt in seeing. Stepping forward he offered first hand to hand, and then stepped into a one armed hug in greeting. He was glad to see his friend alive--even if he thought he was a mad fuck to bring a war on the Romans.
"It is good to see you as well, brother," Gannicus told him, his tone heavy with all that had happened of late. He looked around at the temple, and then back at his friend with a question clear on his face. "You side with Spartacus to fight Rome? Have you lost fucking mind since I was gone?" He did not wish to see his brother fall, but there was only one way this ended--with everyone in this temple dead for their efforts!
