❀Laeta ❀ As a lady of leasuire, Laeta did not hold a job, but rather ran many charities using her father's money. He was a very wealthy man who worked in imports and exports, and it allowed her to do as she pleased in many things. She had been raised to always show kindness, and respect to everyone. Her latest charity, and an on going on, was working with the families of fallen soldiers to help make sure they would alright while transiting to civilian life. It was how she had met Agron, and began a friendship with him. They had been working very hard over the past few months to make sure this was something meaningful! In truth, she had even begun to have feelings toward him, but she knew this was a working relationship, so she had never crossed the line into admitting anything. However, with her father's latest demands, she needed his help in a personal matter. It might make him uncomfortable, but she hoped that he would not feel so! She needed his help to keep her lifestyle, and she was leaning on their friendship to ask for it. Laeta quickly walked into the sitting room where Agron was waiting for her and quickly moved to sit beside him. Unlike how she always normally kept the space between them acceptable, this time she tilted her body toward him and put her hands on his. "I need your help," she told him, gravely, knowing that this was going to be interesting.

blood and battle
ARE ALL I HAVE EVER KNOWN
Agron was glad he partook in this charity. Anytime he returned from deployment, he wished to do more with his time. Wished to help honor those who had fallen during war. Laeta had a great way of doing that. An incredible means to extend a helping hand, no longer leaving Agron powerless to help. His time stationed at home could be just as useful as it was when he went off to war. Laeta . . . inspired him. And he felt more and more drawn to her, enjoying each and every moment spent together. He found himself always excited for their meetings, and though it was strictly work, he felt completely comfortable in her presence. Which, wasn't something easily established for Agron. That excitement was there as he waited in the living area, seated patiently until she joined him.
He was about to get up to greet her but she immediately came to sit next to him -- closer than ever before -- turned towards him, and the warmth of her hands on his causing a sensation to flood through him. He felt, more concerned than anything. For this was not the usual nature of their interactions. Not that he minded of course. "With what?" He asked, wanting to question if she was ok, if everything was alright. But getting straight to it, he figured he would get to the source soon enough and all other questions would be answered, though his expression held flickers of those felt emotions as he gazed intently into her eyes. Her beautiful eyes.

❀Laeta ❀ With what? That part made her feel a little silly, but with her family it was just how things worked. "I need you to be my boyfriends," she begin explaining, taking the chance to tease him a little bit. Also because she liked the idea, but had never felt bold enough to see if it was mutual or if this was how he was with everyone. She knew this was a working relationship, but he was also her friend. To her she saw him as a friend. The work he helped her do really made a difference, and it was him that helped make it so. She admired that. "My father has a friend, and he has always pushed for us to date. He is coming here tonight, and bringing this friend with him. He spoke to me last night on the phone and said he wanted to merge of two family businesses together and a wedding would tie that in nicely . . . " She left it there to let him fill int he blanks. She wasn't quite being sold, but she didn't overly have any choice. Not since her father owed everything here. "But if there was someone in the picture . . . someone who wasn't afraid of my father, then maybe he would let things go?" IE: someone like him. Someone brave, and a bit sassy and who didn't have the ability to let anything get past him. He would be the force her father could not reckon with, and therefore would help her get out of this situation!
