Agron wasn't a heavy drinker. He did not overly indulge in alcoholic beverages. But tonight, something compelled him to go to the bar after work with his friends and . . . drink more than usual. He wasn't completely out of sorts, just more so than he should be. He still had enough sense to not slur words or stagger where he walked. But he could feel his emotions surfacing. He could feel all those deeply tucked away stirrings start to emerge. Which was why he had paid close attention to the clock. Why he wanted to stay out of his and his roommate's place until he was at least somewhat certain that he wouldn't be home.
It wasn't incredibly late by the time Agron knew he should leave before he reached that point of complete intoxication, and made his way back to his place. He opened the door, tossing his keys on the side and collapsing onto the couch. Fucking hell, he drank more than he was used to. He was so lost in his thoughts that he almost didn't hear the door to one of the bedrooms open, prompting Agron to turn his head and see Nasir. "Fuck, you're still here?" He asked, unsure what tone his question held. The words just came out. Apparently, he had completely misjudged the time of the date because Nasir was dressed for it. With a breathy groan, Agron turned his head away and just pressed it on the back of the couch where he sat, closing his eyes and willing away these damn emotions.

Nasir had been in a great mood. Tonight would have been date number 5 or 6 with Castus--he was starting to lose count--and he thought he might be ready to take the next step, so to speak. He didn't date very often, and when he did, the guys usually never got a second date. But Castus was so damn charming that Nasir kept saying yes to another date. And then another. And another. But he'd just gotten off the phone with Castus, and tonight something had come up. He was still dressed for the date, though, when he heard the front door open and close again.
He walked out to find Agron on the couch. "Is that... a problem?" he asked, frowning. "Castus had to cancel." He'd been about to change, but came out to see why Agron was home later than usual. "You look like shit, what's wrong?"Tag: Agron

Was it a problem? "No, no fucking problem at all." He knew his voice was slightly sarcastic, and he didn't mean for it to be. But these surfacing emotions were dangerous. He should just go to his room before he said -- or did -- anything that he was going to regret. Nasir then said that Castus had to cancel and, Agron would have found relief in that had he not known that they would just reschedule. It would have been far more favorable to hear Nasir say that they broke up. For good.
"How come?" Maybe they had? But then, Nasir didn't look to upset so Agron doubted it. His next question was a bit more difficult to answer, for Nasir knew Agron well and the German knew he couldn't bull shit his way out of it. "Nothing," he said almost dismissively. Before he added to the answer. "Just had more to drink than usual tonight." At least that part was the truth, he just didn't say the reason that he had drank so much, even though Agron's restraint was starting to waver.

Nasir's frown only deepened at the sarcasm in Agron's tone, but he didn't respond to his assurance that there was 'no fucking problem' because there was, obviously. "He wasn't feeling well," he answered, when Agron asked why the date was canceled, but his tone was questioning, still curious why the hell Agron looked like he did. But when Agron admitted he'd been drinking, Nasir decided he wasn't going to bother going to change his clothes. There were a little too fitted for relaxing around the apartment, but Agron needed him right now, even if he didn't want to admit it.
"Do you want another?" he asked, sighing and going to the fridge to grab himself a beer and waiting for Agron's response before heading back to the couch and flopping down. "Talk, or watch a bad movie?" He wasn't going to pressure Agron, but he hoped he'd chose to talk.Tag: Agron

Wasn't feeling well. He knew it was a far fetched hope that they had broken up. But he also knew that it wasn't fair of him. Why couldn't he just be happy for Nasir that he had found someone? This ugly jealousy was making Agron feel sick. "I'll have another." And what made him want to drink more when he knew he should stop. Being so close to Nasir wasn't helping either when he moved to sit on the couch as Agron accepted the beer with a nod of gratitude.
The next question . . . was a bit more difficult to answer. Because, he hated to not tell Nasir things. They were best friends after all. But all the while . . . he had kept this to himself for a reason. "Don't know what I should talk after having fucking drank so much," he said, taking a long swig of the beer. "What's different about him?" Agron blurted out. So much for the not talking part since . . . it was clear who he meant when he said him.

Nasir snorted as Agron said he didn't think he should talk when he was drunk, taking a sip of his own beer. "It's not like I've never heard you drunkenly ramble before." Agron didn't get drunk very often--Nasir was far more likely to over indulge--but they'd known each other ages, so it had occasionally happened. He put his bottle between his legs and started pull out one of the braids that hung down either side of his neck, working it loose, but he paused for a second at Agron's question.
It took him a moment, but he finally determined him must be Castus, and Agron was asking why he was different from the other guys who never got second dates. He shrugged, starting on the other braid as the as wavy curls fell freely on one side of his head. "I'm not sure. He's... charming. He probably flatters too much, but no one's really talked to me like that before." It was exciting, he didn't say. "I don't know if it's going to last forever, but I like him and it's fun for now," he added. They hadn't even talked about being exclusive yet. He leaned over to nudge Agron's shoulder. "Come on, you can't be in a mood because of him," he added, with a smile, though his gaze said talk to me.Tag: Agron
