He also has a rather strong sense of morals which shows when he sides with Spartacus and the rebels, but also is against the mass killing of Roman citizens. He overplays rough situations with a kind of humor and sarcasm.

.:History:. Castus left his home in Numidia to become a pirate, wanting to stay free and not risk becoming a slave and being sold to Roman nobles. Life under Heracleo seemed to offer just that, so he stayed with him until he met Spartacus. He was impressed by the rebellion. He was left behind by his fellow pirates, and decided to side with the rebels against the Romans, yet didn't agree with the way Crixus went after Roman citizens.
