ASK CHARACTER TUMBLR BLOG

To help promote the site and encourage members to have fun doing so, we decided to have Ask Character Blogs on Tumblr! What this means is that you can create a blog (either a main blog or a side blog to your main one) where you can set up your character's page, and others can send you questions that you will ask in your character/muse's voice!! This blog will not be for paragraph role playing! But rather, ONLY answering questions posed by other tumblr uses, anons, or maybe even members in the game! As it will be in your character's voice, it would make most sense to post in first person and the responses do not have to be lengthy! It is entirely up to you!

You are welcome to post your threads there, graphics, OOC things, and anything else! We would ask that you please have a link to the Spartacus Role Play forum as one of the links on your blog so that it is always visible! Other than that, you have complete freedom to set it up as you please! I will be posting about it on our Spartacus RP blog as well!

This is all with the hopes of spreading news about the site and doing some advertising while having fun doing it! If you have any questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to contact me! This is not mandatory for members of course, but rather, just something fun for those who wish to partake in!

The story takes place in Capua, There are those who reside in the city, wealthy, connected, and living an extravagant lifestyle. Others can just barley afford housing and food. And then there are slaves, held under the command of their masters whether they are purchased from lands overseas, or born into their master's home. Among these slaves, are Gladiators. They are trained in a ludus under the command of a Doctore, and under the control of their dominus and/or domina. Those who do not prove to be worthy combatants, are either killed, sent to the pit or mines, or suffer another punishment deemed fit by their master. But for those who do succeed, they are granted the opportunity to fight in the arena; for coin, for fame, for glory.

Such was the way for many years, until one particular Gladiator by the name of Spartacus fought the power that enslaved him and so many others. He rebelled against the hierarchy and started a revolt; one that thousands of others joined. They fought for one cause and one cause only: freedom.

This role play is based on the series Spartacus. There is no set timeline, so threads can take place before, during or after any of the episodes and seasons. We also have an AU board that allows for plots that go against canon events in the show.
