god of the arena
Gannicus kept his hood up and walked the narrow streets of the golden city. It was by far one of the better cities he had seen, but it didn't leave him feeling in awe. Nothing left him feeling much anymore, expect for drink and numb. The once jovial champion now wondered aimlessly, selling sword to highest bidder and wasting coin on drink and multiple questionable women. It wasn't the life he had wanted, but he didn't find the will to care either. Apart of him just wanted to die and get it over with.
Needing his weapons cared for, he moved to a street where a blacksmith worked. He had asked for one who did good work, but wasn't overly favored by too many Romans as he didn't want to give his name to anyone yet. At least none who would use it to better their own. Walking into the blacksmith's forge he looked around, "I seek Attius," he asked around while taking note of the exits and weapons in the room. Old habits never did die--no matter how he attempted to drink them away.

Attius had been in the back when he heard someone seek him out. The voice was unfamiliar and the fact that they did not know his face as he stepped out, indicated that he was no civilian of Sinuessa. That made the blacksmith instantly wary of the stranger. He looked over the shady male, hood covering his head and well, wasn't getting a very good feeling from him. "To what purpose?" He questioned as he took a couple of steps further into the room, though maintaining a significant distance from the man.
"If you seek service, then show coin first. Otherwise, you are waste of fucking time." And time was money. Which, Attius would not waste on this . . . hoodlum. The man didn't look like he had much coin on him. He looked . . . sketchy. And Attius didn't like sketchy. He thrived here because he minded his business. And he wasn't about to get caught up in whatever this stranger was here for, if not for the services of a blacksmith.

god of the arena
Gannicus watched as a man who appeared to be about the same age as he stepped out and looked displeased for the interruption. He arrogantly turned to look behind him as if there might be someone behind him to better warned such a look, rather than himself. The man demanded to see coin, and Gannicus grinned, "The whores and the blacksmiths of this town all demand the same?" he jested, comparing the man to a whore; though in good nature, rather then insult. This time.
"I seek to have weapons tended." He told him, pulling out one of his swords to hold up, still not having shown coin. "Two swords, and small knife." He purposely waited to show coin until the end, just to annoy the man, because it was fun. He didn't make him ask again, because the man WAS going to be sharpening the weapons he used to fight, so insulting him might be bad. Reaching for his purse, he held it up and let it make a should to show it held coin. "I can pay." He had won favor in the last city, fighting for their amusement. It had not been in the games however, as none sought to have him return.
